Meridian started with a feeling — that something was missing.
Not more content, not another marketplace, not a bigger algorithm. What was missing was a place that actually cared. A place where a reader could find a book that felt chosen for them. Where a first-time author could get real support, not just an upload button. Where a small creator selling handmade things could sit alongside literature and feel like they belonged there too.
So we built it.
Our Story
Meridian was born inside the halls of Government College Women University Sialkot. As students of English Department, we spent years working with language, meaning, and the quiet power of words moving between worlds.
It was our final year projects that sparked something. We realized we didn't just want to study stories — we wanted to do something real with them. Something that could help us grow professionally, build something of our own, and create genuine value for other creators along the way.
What started as an idea between students became a platform. And we are proud that it grew under the guidance of the English Department at GCWUS, whose support and encouragement gave us the confidence to turn a university project into something that stands on its own.
We are deeply grateful to our department for believing in us before we fully believed in ourselves.
What Meridian Is
Meridian is a creative platform where books, independent publishing, handmade goods, and community experiences live together — not because it is a clever business model, but because we genuinely believe these things belong in the same space.
Stories don't just live in books. They live in the objects people make, the events people gather for, the art someone spent months on in a quiet room. Meridian is built around that idea.
We are currently just getting started. This is an early version of something we intend to grow slowly, carefully, and with a lot of intention.

We are a small team. We care about this a lot. And we are just getting started.

We didn't launch Meridian because we had everything figured out. We launched it because we believed in the idea enough to start.
